Adelaide’s Mark Anthony in 2011 was placed in the Top 5 professional Elvis tribute artists performing in the world and selected for the first Spirit of Elvis Award, presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises at the ultimate Elvis tribute contest in Memphis, Tennessee.

Anthony first shone on the world stage in 2007, when he won the title of grand champion ultimate Elvis tribute artist for the South Pacific at the Wintersun rock’n’roll festival and was flown to Memphis, to perform.

He won the title again in 2008 and was placed in the top 10 in the world performing in the finals of the Ultimate Elvis tribute artist competition, presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Mark also won title in 2010 for Elvis festivals in United States and Canada. His success continued in 2017 when he was placed second in 2017 in Memphis at the ultimate Elvis tribute artist contest.

Anthony was introduced as an Adelaide boy to the music and styling of Elvis Presley by his older cousin and his brother Paul, a guitarist. He immersed himself in everything Elvis and soon found he had a natural talent for imitating the American superstar.

Anthony worked as a carpenter in the family business with his brother Paul, a guitarist, before deciding to seriously and professionally portray Elvis in 2004. One of his first stage appearances was at a benefit for a family member with leukaemia. Since then, he made many fundraising appearances, including for The Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation.
