Amazon and LVX Global join international high-technology companies at Adelaide city's Lot Fourteen site in 2021
LVX Global's move to Lot Fourteen in 2021 was a homecoming for the company that gained international status after its start in Adelaide 30 years before.

Amazon and LVX Global in 2021 joined the high-profile technology firms at Adelaide city’s Lot Fourteen with its focus including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), cybersecurity, data analytics, computer vision, augmented and virtual reality, and the Internet of Things.

Amazon’s involvement at Lot Fourteen on North Terrace, Adelaide, would be through its cloud computing subsidiary Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon Sciences, a team carrying out world-leading artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) research. Amazon Web Services intended to grow its innovation programs to support local companies, from startups to bigger businesses, and government organisations, Amazon Science would conduct new research programmes to improve the customer experience for Amazon.com customers.

Also joining Lot Fourteen, LVX Global was an international technology solutions company that managed tech projects for both the public and private sector and had hubs in Europe and the United States. Its role was described as: “Identifies, designs, delivers and manages high value, scalable, replicable social outcomes at the intersection of technology, engineering, and human behavioural science.” LVX Global projects included smart lighting and fire safety, along with engineering and advisory services for licensed and owned technology.

LVX Global will be at Lot Fourteen’s refurbished Bice Building on North Terrace, next to the Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre scheduled to be completed in 2024-25. The Lot Fourteen move represented a homecoming for LVX Global, after 11 years of having its Australian and international headquarters in Sydney and then Perth, to Adelaide where it began 30 years before. LVX Global chief executive Corey Gray said his company was excited to work alongside other international companies at Lot Fourteen.

Lot Fourteen’s lineup also included the Australian Space Agency, the SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre, MIT bigdata Living Lab, the Australian Institute for Machine Learning and the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre.
